The RIA route for producers who keep handing the money away
Acrylic Financial is a registered investment advisor based in Fountain Hills, Arizona. For a Brokers Alliance agent it is the piece that turns a referral you give to someone else into advice you are registered and paid to deliver yourself.
Every insurance producer has a line they stop at
A client asks what to do with the old rollover, the brokerage account, or the balance that is not going into a policy. An insurance license does not cover that answer. So the producer refers the client out, the relationship splits in two, and somebody else gets paid on the larger number for the next twenty years. Most agents make that handoff so often they stop counting it. It is the biggest piece of revenue an insurance-first practice gives away without ever deciding to.
What a registered investment advisor actually is
An RIA is a firm registered to give investment advice for a fee and to manage money on a client's behalf. It is a different license, a different regulator and a different pay structure from the insurance side of your business. Insurance is licensed state by state through the department of insurance and paid by carrier commission. Investment advice is registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission or a state securities regulator and paid as an ongoing fee on the assets being managed. The two do not overlap, and no amount of insurance licensing lets you cross that line. That is why the RIA has to be a real firm, not a courtesy arrangement.

Two ways in, and they ask very different things of you
Brokers Alliance does not push every producer down the same path, because the honest answer depends on how much of your week you want to spend on securities. One route makes you the advisor of record. The other keeps you in insurance and compensates the introduction. Neither one asks you to give up the practice you already have. Each has its own page with the detail, the requirements and the compensation model spelled out.
Your insurance business stays exactly where it is
Brokers Alliance is an insurance distributor. It is not an RIA, it does not give investment advice, and it does not manage anyone's assets. Acrylic Financial is a separately registered firm and answers to a securities regulator for that work. Keeping the two apart is the point, not an inconvenience. Nothing about adding the advisory side touches your carrier appointments, your commission schedule or the way you get paid on a policy. You still write business through the same 73+ carrier relationships, you still pay Brokers Alliance no fees, you still carry no minimums and no production requirements, and the technology is still included.
This page covers one partner. The wider picture starts on the Brokers Alliance 401(k) page, which explains how retirement plan work reaches an insurance practice at all. The RIA overview frames the advisory opportunity end to end. The alternative investments page covers money that does not belong in a standard managed account. Read whichever one matches the client sitting in front of you.
Acrylic Financial, in the public record
Do not take a partner introduction on faith, including this one. Everything below is filed with a regulator and readable by you in about five minutes. Acrylic Financial, Inc. does the work an advisory firm does: it manages portfolios, it builds plans, it advises on which outside managers a client should use, and it acts as a sub-advisor. It works with individual clients and with practitioners who come to it from the insurance side. The firm has filed under two earlier names, Cornerstone Financial Group and Brokers Alliance Investments, Inc., which is the plainest evidence of how long the two organizations have been in the same room.
When you want the firm's own description of its services, its people and its client portal, go straight to the source. Acrylic Financial publishes all of it, and this page is not a substitute for what the firm says about itself.
