Independently owned since 1982, and engineered for what is next.
Brokers Alliance is a second-generation, family-owned insurance distributor. Joe Racich founded it in 1982. His son, David Racich, acquired it in 2009 and has owned and led it ever since ... an engineer and builder who put software at the center of how partners get supported.
Built to challenge good enough
Imagine deciding that travel by horse was good enough. That an abacus was the right tool for hard math. That a payphone and a paper map were all a professional needed to do the job.
Brokers Alliance decided a long time ago that the status quo was not good enough, and neither was complacency, and neither was doing a thing simply because it had always been done that way. The foundation of our story is not how long we have been in brokerage, or how long we have served advisors who build a practice around life insurance, annuities, long term care, disability, and asset management. Good service and deep experience should be as involuntary as breathing.
The foundation of our story is a refusal to settle ... a standing habit of inventing, creating, and rethinking how this industry works for the professionals in it and the clients they serve. We are inventors, innovators, and thinkers for a business that has historically settled for good enough.
Challenge good enough
Complacency is the default setting of this industry. We treat it as the thing to beat, not the thing to inherit. Every process gets the question: is this actually the best way, or just the familiar one?
Invent, do not inherit
Real progress comes from looking at the same problem differently. That instinct has been in the company since day one, and it is why we would rather build a better tool than route around a broken one.
Own what you rely on
The tools our partners depend on should not be rented from a vendor and re-skinned. We build them, run them ourselves, and stand behind them ... because a tool you own is a tool you can fix.
How Brokers Alliance got here
No origin myth. Three moments, told straight, that explain the firm you contract with today.
Joe Racich founds Brokers Alliance
A marketing company from the very first day. Joe builds it as a media and marketing resource for agents and agencies, then grows it into a full brokerage for life insurance and annuities.
David Racich acquires the firm
Joe's son David buys the company from his father and steps in as owner and CEO. Second generation, the same independent footing, now with a builder's mandate to modernize how partners are supported.
Proprietary technology, written in house
Contracting, underwriting, and case management now run alongside platforms our own engineers build and own: MyAdvisorCloud, MyAdvisorGrids, RetirementBrain, and LifeBrain.
Joe Racich, and a marketing company from inception
The root the whole company grew from.
Joe Racich founded Brokers Alliance in 1982. What set the firm apart from the first day was not a rate sheet or a roster of carriers. It was a point of view ... that real success in this industry required looking at things differently.
Joe found his talent in sales and marketing, and then he found the harder, more valuable thing: a way to build a company around invention rather than routine. Brokers Alliance was a true marketing company from inception, and that instinct to lead rather than follow is the inheritance the second generation built on.
David Racich, owner, operator, engineer
The reason Brokers Alliance is run like a technology company that happens to distribute insurance.
In 2009, David Racich acquired Brokers Alliance from his father and has owned and led it ever since. He is a technology-focused owner-operator, an engineer and builder by background, and a serial entrepreneur who had already started and run successful companies before he took the helm here.
What makes Brokers Alliance the most tech-enabled IMO, FMO, and BGA is not a slogan. It is that the person who owns it ships software. David drives the in-house technology that partners actually use ... MyAdvisorCloud, MyAdvisorGrids, RetirementBrain, and LifeBrain ... written and maintained by Brokers Alliance engineers rather than licensed from a vendor and re-skinned. He does not buy technology to look modern. He builds it, uses it, and hands partners the same tools he relies on himself.
A builder in more than one arena
David's work reaches well past a single company, and that range is part of what partners are trusting when they contract here.

Independent by design
Brokers Alliance is independently owned. It remains a second-generation, family-owned business, and it is not part of Simplicity Group or any other aggregator, holding company, or private-equity platform. When the owner answers to producers instead of a holding company, the recommendation follows the client, not a parent balance sheet. The proof is not the paperwork ... it is the software we build and give away with the contract.
MyAdvisorCloud
The agent dashboard and single sign-on, built in house. One login into the whole toolset, not a CRM you migrate into.
MyAdvisorGrids
Carrier compensation, side by side, in the open. You see how comp is set before you write a case and after.
RetirementBrain
Retirement-income planning built for real cases, so the conversation with a client rests on numbers, not guesswork.
LifeBrain
Life insurance planning engineered end to end, so design, quote, and case management sit behind one system.
