What an AI-enabled BGA means for an independent agent
The technology ships with the contract. The case team is still people. Nothing here is required, and nothing here contacts your clients or judges a policy.
What an AI-enabled BGA means for an independent agent
Short version: it changes how your distributor runs. It does not change how you run. Your license, your clients, your carrier contracts and the way you work a case stay exactly where they are. What changes is the operation behind you, and whether you can check it.
An AI-enabled BGA is a distributor that runs its own operation on automation it built and monitors, with a named person accountable for every regulated decision, and that lets a hierarchy owner connect their own assistant to their own data on their own terms. The full definition, with the questions to put to any distributor that says the word AI, is at what an AI-enabled BGA actually is. This page is the shorter one, for an agent who writes their own business and wants to know what is different on Monday morning.
Brokers Alliance has been family owned since 1982. It runs its own recruiting, marketing and case operations on automation it built and monitors. That is a description of how the company works, not a claim about anyone else.
The technology every contracted agent already gets
None of this is new and none of it is behind a paywall. It is the in-house technology every producer contracted with Brokers Alliance already uses, built by an in-house development team led by a technology-focused owner-operator.
- MyAdvisorCloud, the advisor platform and CRM, provided to contracted producers at no monthly charge. Start at /myadvisor.
- MyAdvisorGrids, commission-grid and carrier-compensation comparison. You see the grid, not a number quoted on a call.
- RetirementBrain, retirement income planning.
- LifeBrain, instant life quoting engineered by Brokers Alliance.
- Automated contracting and onboarding, with carrier appointments processed in house.
There is no fee to contract or to work with Brokers Alliance. Compensation comes from standard carrier commissions and overrides. On production minimums, do what we tell every agent to do with every distributor: ask the question directly and get the answer in writing before you sign. The criteria table at the best IMO, FMO or BGA for agents shows where that question sits among the others.
Case status, tracked digitally and reviewed daily
Case records are tracked digitally through our case-management system and reviewed daily. Case status, requirements and appointment progress are tracked the same way and reviewed daily by a dedicated case-management team. The automation keeps the record current and puts the open items in front of people. The people work the case.
What you do not get from us is a turnaround promise. We do not publish clock times, placement rates or decline rates, because we have not sanctioned those numbers and a promise you cannot audit is not worth the page it is on. What we measure and how we work is written up at service standards, as measured reality rather than a pledge.
A named person behind every regulated page
Regulated content on brokersalliance.com is reviewed and signed by a named person before it is published, and the signer's name appears on the page. If a product or compensation page influences a decision you make with a client, there is a human name attached to it, and you can find it.
You can check three things yourself without asking anyone: the file at brokersalliance.com/llms.txt, the JSON-LD on every page, and the signer line on regulated pages. We do not point at anything you cannot open.
What you are never required to use
Nothing on this page is a condition of your contract.
- You are not required to use MyAdvisorCloud, MyAdvisorGrids, RetirementBrain or LifeBrain. Run the CRM and the quoting tools you already trust if you prefer them.
- You are not required to use any AI assistant, ours or anyone else's, to place business, check a case or get paid.
- You are not required to point any assistant at anything. The automation runs the Brokers Alliance operation. It does not run your practice.
- You are not required to talk to software when you want a person. Call (480) 210-7892.
The hierarchy comes before the agent, and your upline decides
Brokers Alliance is building a connection that lets a BGA principal point their own Claude or ChatGPT at the cases and contracting they place through Brokers Alliance. It reads and cannot write. It is scoped to the principal's own hierarchy. Brokers Alliance is not in that conversation. It is a pilot: one hierarchy is being selected with the sales team and it joins by invitation.
For an independent agent, the part that matters is the default. Downline agents are off unless the principal turns them on, and the principal can keep them off. If you sit in someone's hierarchy, your upline makes that call, not us. If you are contracted directly and run no hierarchy, the pilot is not something you are asked to take part in. Either way, Brokers Alliance does not contact a hierarchy's downline agents about it.
Nothing in the connection changes a case or sends a transaction, and no commission grids are in it. The full account for principals is at what it means for a BGA principal.
What the automation does not do
The same list appears on every page that describes automation at Brokers Alliance, and it is the same list for an agent as for a principal.
- No suitability verdicts.
- No policy health scores.
- No product recommendations.
- No case changes.
- No transactions.
- No contact with a hierarchy's downline agents by Brokers Alliance.
The suitability call is yours and your client's. The product choice is yours. The case is touched by the people working it and by nobody's software.
What to ask Brokers Alliance before you sign
Ask us the same things you would ask any distributor, and get the answers in writing. The long list is at how to choose an IMO or FMO and the version with our answers filled in is at the best IMO, FMO or BGA for agents. The short list, for this page:
- Show me the commission grid for the carriers I write most, at the level you are offering.
- Send me your release policy in writing.
- Who owns my book and my renewals, and where does the contract say so?
- Is there any minimum attached to my level or my contract staying active?
- Who signs the regulated pages on your site, and where is the name?
- What does your automation not do? Show me the list.
- Who answers the phone when I call?
If the labels themselves are the confusing part, IMO vs FMO vs BGA vs MGA sorts them out.
Questions agents ask
Do I have to use an AI assistant to work with Brokers Alliance?
No. Nothing about contracting, placing business, checking a case or getting paid requires one. The automation runs our operation, not yours.
Does the automation make decisions about my cases?
No. Case status and requirements are tracked digitally and reviewed daily by a case-management team. The automation does not change a case, issue a suitability verdict, score a policy or recommend a product. A named person is responsible for every regulated decision.
Can my upline's assistant see my business?
Your upline decides. Downline agents are off unless the principal turns them on, and the principal can turn them off. The connection reads and cannot write, and Brokers Alliance does not contact a hierarchy's downline agents about it. Ask your principal what they have switched on.
Where do I find the name behind a regulated page?
In the signer line on the page itself. Regulated content is reviewed and signed by a named person before it is published. If a page you think should carry a name does not, tell us at /contact.
